heat reflection
today we our lab assignment was to take down the temperatures inside pop bottles as a light shines on them. The water, snow or dirt on the bottom of the bottles will reflect the heat emitted from the lamp. As the temperature rises we record it and graph the results. Each group gets a different bottle and there are 2 bottles for every substance. So there are about 6 groups.
As to how this pertains to my class subject(long term local weather history) i am not so sure. Maybe with the effect on the areas plant life and crop growth. No, that would have been the first project. Hmmmm...maybe...the actual temperature of the way back time as it was effected by the amount of sunlight and what ever was around like a body of water, lats of farm land or a lot of snow.
......Uh... why did they make me take this class?

El Nino Y La Nina
Today in class we talked about weather systems and weather forces. One topic was why Mother Nature has played such a horrible trick on us Michiganders. This morning it was 60 degrees Fahrenheit and now it's in the 30s. It has something to with the wind patterns of the El Nino and La Nina. A good place to look for information on these two weather cycles click on the links below:
